I’m putting Submersible Hamster on the back burner until March. Aside from the EZ Muze project taking up a lot of my time, I’m also going to be busy and all over the place for the entire month of February – so recording Subham shows wouldn’t even be possible. :)
Until then, enjoy the backlog of Subham episodes if you haven’t heard them all already, chat to me on THA Forum and keep sending me recommendations for music to check out!
Hey, just wanna remind you guys that I’m still doing a weekly Submersible Hamster podcast chock-full of free and legally downloadable music goodness. I just put up show #15 too, so you better go listen to it!
Also, if you have iTunes, you can subscribe to the podcast so that new episodes download automatically. Just click this heavy duty super-colliding super-button:
There’s also an RSS feed that will work with any feed reader, the Vista sidebar, Microsoft Outlook or as a Firefox Live Bookmark or an iGoogle homepage gadget, among other things.
As for new music from me, I’m kind of in a creative slump, but I think I’ll be getting out of it pretty soon as I have a ton of ideas…I just need to find the right way to express them.
So anyways, check out the latest Subham and any Subham episodes you’ve missed and I’ll do my best to get some new THA music up in this bitch. Peas!
Well…I’ve quit my job of 5 years and I’m going into the new year focusing all of my attention on my music projects! It’ll be a good experience, I think. Part of it will be writing music for video games and other media, which I’m quite excited to get in to! :)
I’m currently collaborating with a programmer to make a music program / music toy / “game” for the XBOX 360. It’s called EZ Muze: Hamst3r Edition (EZMHE). It’ll be a downloadable game available from the Xbox Live Marketplace. There is no release date yet but EZMHE is receiving performance enhancements and new loops every day and is starting to really shape up, so it shouldn’t be too far off.
My job in this project is to make all of the music loops you’ll have access to. I’ve done nearly 200 loops so far! The mix of sounds and styles is quite varied, still all of the loops will fit together quite nicely. Absolutely any combination of loops in EZMHE should be harmonious.
EZMHE has two editing modes; easy mode and advanced mode. In advanced mode you can cut the loops in to smaller pieces and rearrange them. You’ll also have access to additional tracks for in Advanced Mode, for extra awesomeness.
Here’s a video of EZ Muze: Hamst3r Edition in action showing off the more Drum and Bass centric loops and some chopped up screaming:
So yeah, that’s what I’m up to.
I’ll let you know when EZ Muze: Hamst3r Edition is ready to go so you can check it out on the XBOX Live Marketplace. :)
Got something special for you here. It’s a drum and bass remix of the song, “Still Alive” by Lisa Miskovsky for the Mirror’s Edge soundtrack!
Check it out!
This was original for a remix competition, but I’ve created a higher quality mix with a few refinements and have added the MP3 to THA sites: THA Radio
You can also download the new higher quality track here:

If you haven’t noticed yet, there’s a new button in the sidebar to the right. It looks like this:
Send me your musi
Yeah, that button. The purpose of the button is to provide you with an easy way to get music to me. Your music…other people’s music…any music. Just no commercial stuff, you know the deal.
The point of it all is that I can provide constructive criticism about your mixing and composition, or consider your music for inclusion on the weekly Submersible Hamster podcast. A bit of feedback and promotion is nice, right? :)
So go on, click it.
