New Tracks: Where Am I and Barricade of Fire

19. April 2008 19:02 by Hamst3r in Tracks

Hi! :D

I just finished two new tracks. Stayed up all night working on them.

The first one is an extended and heavily built upon version of one of the “Portal Inspired” tracks. The track was called, Where Am I? and was actually the first track that I wrote for that ambient music project.

This extended Where Am I? mix takes the original theme and expands on it greatly, slowly building up to some heavy drum chops and piano arpeggios at around 3:00 in.

The second track is a hard rock song that I worked on with guitarist Josh Calles. The track is called Barricade of Fire and is part of another [insert video game name here] inspired project. I already have the guitars and groundwork laid out for 4 more of these rock and rocktronica tracks, so I’m guessing they’ll be up here pretty soon. :)

You can stream both tracks on THA Radio.

Or you can download them by right clicking on these links:

Thanks for listening! :)

A quick update and some WIP MP3s

7. March 2008 19:04 by Hamst3r in Tracks, Updates

I haven’t said much lately as I haven’t been working on much music lately. If you’re curious what I’ve been up to all this time, just click that big button to the right that says THA BLOG. It will take you to I’ve either been playing video games, doing a lot of nothing or attempting to make some cool illustrations.

But I’m starting to get in the mood again to finish some tracks.

Here are some unfinished previews of the few I’ve been working on:

1. In The System (GLaDOS + Drum and Bass)
2. Understand (An oldie-style thing with a twist? Ignore the “mouth pop” – I’ve already removed it, it was a dumb idea. :P)
3. BossaHamster (Bossa Nova + Nintendo)

My assumption is that “In the System” will be the popular track, but lemme know what you think and if you think I should finish a particular track first.

I’ve also done a few remixes that I haven’t posted here before:

1. Sublime – Doin’ Time (THA Amateur Step Mix)
2. Jennyrave – Nemesis Flower (THA Contemplative Mix)
3. BigYo – Earth Plate

Those remixes were done pretty fast, just for fun, not really aiming on making my next epic track. But enjoy them, nonetheless. :)

Thanks to everyone that’s been sticking around and checking the page even though I haven’t been posting new stuff every month!

New Website...You're looking at it!

6. December 2007 19:08 by Hamst3r in Updates

Hey, check it out. New digs. As you’ve probably noticed, the website looks completely different now. It’s Blog-like. Check out the different sections at the top of the page – they’re a lot cleaner looking now and have more content in them. The system in place makes updating the site a lot easier too.

Also, I’ve started another site which you can get to by the link on the right. – it’s a blog for everything else I do that’s not music related. Basically, it’s the lower portion of the old homepage…and my gametrailers blog…and myspace blog…and myspace bulletins…and shoutbox updates…consolidated into one site and expanded upon.

About commenting:
1. Commenting is disabled on There is a shoutbox on the right to leave me comments.
2. Commenting on is enabled and there is no shoutbox.

This is so I only have to moderate per-post comments on one site and so that people can make and read comments not related to any particular post as they’re passing by. The Shoutbox has proven to be popular, so I can’t remove it!

Anyways, I think this is better. I mean, I can type big updates like this. That’s a good thing, right? :)

Let me know what you think!
