Yet another new track: Discovery!

27. March 2009 16:19 by Hamst3r in Tracks

I was in the mood for some 80’s synthpop last night, so I sat down, picked the tackiest sounds I had and made this:

Download: THA – Discovery (1986) (right click, save as)

or stream it on THA Radio.

I’m really fond of that 80’s sound – It just has a magical quality to it.

I haven’t thought of what style of song to do next yet, but it will probably be something more organic.

Enjoy! :)

Another ezmuze Demo: Gorby's Song

10. March 2009 16:44 by Hamst3r in Ezmuze

I was playing around with ezmuze loops again and made another demo song!

This one is called Gorby’s song.

It’s a much more low key track than Supremacy sporting floaty arpeggios, 808 drums, tons of delay and a kind of creepy-cute singing computer voice.

Check it out:

or stream it on THA Radio.

Enjoy! :)

New Track: Salaryman

12. November 2008 18:31 by Hamst3r in Tracks

Hey! :D

Got a new track for you here. The track is about the pencil-pushing wage-slaves of Japan who grind their lives away for their paycheck to the point that they have essentially no life outside of constant work.

If you check out Youtube you can see many videos of these salarymen in a complete daze, sleeping on the ground, futilely attempting to walk up the downwards escalator and so on. This is the common Japanese businessman.

This song is a somber trip in to comatose existence of one such salaryman. He has a cat, he likes pachinko, he has a couple fetishes and he’s been contemplating various methods of suicide. Yes, there are lyrics. :)

You can stream the track on THA Radio.

Or download the track:

Also, here are the lyrics: THA-salaryman.txt

Enjoy!

New Track: Soaring Eagles

30. April 2008 18:57 by Hamst3r in Tracks

I’ve completed the Soaring Eagles track.

This song has a new age flair with it’s relaxing tones, intermixed with harsher electronic tones and some effects that will probably catch you off guard.

This track features two models of Hang Drum, a Korg Prophecy for the drums, a piano, a Khim (a type of dulcimer), some manipulated moaning and a variety of other sounds.

Always striving to head in different directions with my music and never get stuck doing the same stuff over and over. :)

Hang Drum Test Update

29. April 2008 19:00 by Hamst3r in Tracks

The track has a name now as it’s no longer a test. I think “Soaring Eagles” is a good name for it. Has a kind of new-age hippie sound to it. :P

I’ve added the first set of strings and some other elements to fill out the sound. I still have some dynamics work to do, like fading in the strings rather than having them just start off at full velocity.

A few of the sounds are still sticking out to me as too loud compared to the other sounds in some spots. So those will get fixed tomorrow night.

If I can manage to get it right, I plan on adding a solo violin.

Anyways, check it out, if you’re in to these incremental update things. :)

If not, ignore this and you’ll have the finished song in a day or two!
