I don't remix music very often, but I've done more remixes than usual in the last few years. Here's another one!
What has transpired here is that I've taken the vocal from the laid-back Ives track 8mm and set it to an energetic glitch hop inspired beat. Big booms, big basses, super saws, blips, bleeps, plucks, tiny vocal chops, snippets of slap bass, and other such bits of nonsense, all mashed together with Ivan Ives' rapping as the central component.
This track may appear on an Ives album release in the future, but you can listen to it right now via the Youtube video embedded below.

Be wary of the man with no name. You will recognize him by the drum machine on his hip. He's also carrying a saxophone, a bouzouki, a violin, a grand piano - not sure how he gets that one up on his horse - a slide guitar, a ukulele, a waterphone, a vibraslap, a didgeridoo, and a few other assorted odds and ends. The dude is kind of weird, I mean I don't know, just be careful if he rides in to your town.
This track is a mish-mash of sounds, but I think they work together quite well. What started off as a mostly Greek Folk music sounding piece turned into hip hop, got darker and kept taking on new non-Greek instruments until "The Stranger" happened.

Sometimes I make hip hop beats. Sometimes Ivan Ives spits over them. This is one of those times. It's a track full of big strings, big brass, a bassoon, an oboe, some drums and a cowbell that goes donk.
I think my track kinda sticks out as the odd man out if you listen to the whole album, but hey, that could just be me being overly self-conscious about it. Regardless, as a whole, Stranger is quite a good album and definitely worth a listen! So, check it out:
You can preview and purchase Stranger from the Ivan Ives Official Site, iTunes or Amazon, and you can find more Ivan Ives over on Twitter, Youtube and Facebook.
Starting off 2013 with a remix! I've taken the tune, "Reveal" by Sary - originally a trance tune - and converted it into this chilltastic float tank for you to relax in. Get comfy. Sink into it.
If you want to peep the original track, you can find it here: http://soundbutt.com/sarychen/reveal-2009

“OHSHI-”, you say.
Yes. Ohshi- indeed, I have finished a new track…and it is here!
The last track was Chillout. The track before that was Post-Rock and the track before that was Bigbeat. So how about some Disco-inspired stuff?
In making this track, I thought up some new ideas to try out, so there should be another new track following close behind. No promises though, creativity does what it wants. :)
